I obtained my graduation degree in Arts, B.A.(R.C.E.), from Bhopal University, India in 1975 and then graduation degree in Education, B.Ed.(R.C.E.) from same university in 1976. I studied in the most reputed college of India, Regional College of Education, for both the courses. India's government educational organisation 'National Council for Education Research and Training' (N.C.E.R.T.) has established such 4 colleges in four corners of India as model of education.

I obtained my post-graduate degree in Arts, M.A.(Hindi), from the best university of India, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, in 1978 and topped the list with highest grades and then I did my M.Phil. in 1979 and completed my Ph.D. in 1984 from the same university. This university is the only reputed university of international standard in India.

My dissertation (Tulsidas ka Manavvad - Humanism of Tulsidas) and Thesis (Kabir aur Tulsi ke vishesh sandarbh mein Kavya-Bhasha ka Samajik Addhyyan - The Social Study of Poetic Language in the Specific Context of Kabir and Tulsi), both, are published in book forms.

I taught Hindi to foreigners in J.N.U. as Senior Research Fellow from August 1979 to March 1981.

I joined Gauhati University, India, in March 1981 and served there as Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Hindi till July 1985.

I joined Sardar Patel University, India, in July 1985 with same capacity.

I was promoted as Reader (Associate Professor) in Hindi in January 1989.

I was promoted to Professor (Full Professor) of Hindi in March 2002.

I have a total teaching experience of more than 38 years.

I became Head, Post-graduate Hindi Department, Sardar Patel University, India, in August 2008 and left the Headship in April 2009.
 

During my teaching period, I was Visiting Associate Professor to University of Guyana, Georgetown, Guyana, for 3 years from July 1990 to 1993, Visiting Professor to Ljubljana University for 1 year and 9 months from November 2009 to July 2011, then March-July 2012 for 5 months, then again November 2012 to July 2013 for 9 months.

I taught 'Culture of India' in Department of Asian and African Studies, Arts Faculty, Ljubljana University, Ljubljana from Oct'13 till Sept'18.

I was twice Visiting Fellow to North-Eastern Hill University, India, for 2 months each for May-June in 2007 and 2008.

I was Visiting Associate to one of India’s most prestigious Institute of Higher Education and Research, Inter-University Center for Humanities and Social Sciences, Simla, India, for 3 years from 1994 to 1996.

I have successfully guided 14 students for their Ph.D. degree and 41 students for their M.Phil. research degree during 31 years of teaching.

I have attended 55 seminars, conferences so far. Out of these 45 are attended in India and rest 10 out of the India in other countries.

My 50 scientific, pedagogical and research papers and articles are published and 14 papers and articles are under publication till date.

I completed 3 Minor Research Projects, granted and funded by University Grants Commission, India, which is the highest controlling body of all the Indian Universities.

I have 17 books published to my credit. Out of these 17 books, 6 are my own authorship, 3 are edited books and 8 are contributions (my scientific research papers are included in these books).

My 8 books are under publication. Out of these 8 books, 3 are my own authorship, 1 is edited book and 4 are contributions (my scientific research papers are included in these books).

My 10 books of my own authorship are under preparation.

Apart of being an active member and office-bearer of Hindi Writers Association, I am consistently in the various academic bodies, like ‘Board of Studies’ and ‘Post-graduate Faculty Board’, of Sardar Patel University, North-Eastern Hill University, Barkatullah University, Rajasthan University, India, and University of Guyana, Guyana.

I had been research examiner to almost all the Universities in India for 25 years during my stay in India.

I had won twice the award for my services to Hindi, once a national award and another International award.
